DANNY MEYERS
Growing up in a music-loving household, Danny had dreams of working as a radio personality since he was 5 years old, when he received a beginners DJ Kit from Sears out of the Christmas Wish Book. Instead of losing interest in pretending to make small talk with a nonexistent audience, Danny held firm to his aspirations and landed his first real gig at age 12, deejaying and delivering news for the St. Lawrence University radio station in Canton, New York. He never looked back, he says.
In addition to his fake radio shows as a young child, Danny has been heard on G105/WDCG – Raleigh, NC, K92/WXLK – Roanoke, VA, MOViN 107.7 – Norfolk, VA, and 95.5 WPLJ – New York, NY.
Outside of radio, Danny loves food, wine, movies, music, and his dog, Nelson. (an American Pit Bull Terrier “foster fail” from Angels of Assisi Rescue in Roanoke, VA). Danny is an active supporter of The Trevor Project, St. Jude’s, The Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice, Wounded Warriors, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and several animal rescue organizations.
BEN HARRIS
Ben grew up the youngest of seven kids — 5 sisters and one brother. He was always creating short skits with his sister, Rebecca, joking with friends, and falling in love with making people laugh. He went to school at Radford, University, a small party school in Southwest Virginia where he earned a degree in Media Studies and had no idea what he was going to do with that degree. Ben ended up applying everywhere and eventually got a call back from a radio station in Raleigh, NC. He didn’t know what the job was but interviewed anyway. It wasn’t until after he accepted the position that he learned he would be producer for a top radio morning show in the area and would actually be on the air. He moved up from Associate to Executive Producer and that’s where history was made as part of Danny Meyers and the G105 Morning Show.
If you asked Ben what his dream job would be, he may say professional husband and stay at home dog dad. Ben met his wife in college and married her 7 years later in 2022. Together they have two dogs, Luna and Hamilton, and live in a small town outside of Raleigh. Ben loves hard and makes love harder. Ben also loves working on home projects, reading, eating good food, and drinking good drinks.
